Reviews about Centennial Beach Cafe
- 4 / 5By Adam WatersGood food, reasonably priced for a beach cafe. 3/5 in our group had diarrhea later but meal was enjoyed by 5/5. Can't establish guilt so no complaints - 4 stars!April 08, 2017
- 1 / 5By Brian DrabWe stopped for a light dinner at the restaurant on the beach on a sunny Sunday afternoon. My wife ordered a Salmon Burger and I ordered the one piece Fish and Chips for $11.95. The order took quite a while in coming but since it was such a nice day it didn't matter. When my number was called I picked up my order and was total shocked to see the size of the piece of fish. It was approx 8cm by about 5 cm (2"X3"). I was prepared to right it off as a bad deal when I tried the fires. The were maybe slightly warm and the fat had already began to congeal making them taste awful.
I took the order back to the girl at the counter who called over a young man who I would have to assume was the manager. I told him about the extremely small piece of fish and he replied that's the size they get from their supplier and all pieces were about that size. I them mentioned the cold fries and offered to have him taste one to which he replied "I know". I asked him if he knew, why would they serve them. His reply was a simple shrug of f the shoulders.
He did replace the order. The new order was hot, but the fish was the same size.
I have eaten there in the past and never found their portion so miserly. I mentioned this to him and his reply was again that's how big the pieces are that the supplier sends them.
If I eat there again it certainly will not be the Fish and Chips. My wife, incidentally said her Salmon Burger was delicious.
If you want a meal size portion of Fish and Chips, do not order it here.February 18, 2017 - 2 / 5By Jeff MorinSo disappointed with the new lesser menu and quality of the food. Tables and condiment area were filthy.
We used to enjoy the noodle boxes and fish tacos, it was unique and tasty. Now we have another meh concession stand. Attitudes of the young staff weren't much better, five of them basically doing nothing and not giving a crap. A waist of my hard earned money.December 07, 2016 - 5 / 5By Kyersten LivingstoneCould it be better? Sure. At the end of the day what I consider is that it's a concession stand. Compared to other concession stands I give a 5. Its clean and the food is made to order. Onion rings and french fries are excellent. I agree with some other reviewers that portions are smaller than they used to be are somewhat dissapointint but again; its a concession stand. You pay for convenience.
Being the only place on/around the beach it could be a whole lot worse.November 21, 2016 - 3 / 5By Danny YooFriendly service but almost double what you might pay at any other concession stand. Has indoor and outdoor seating. The adjoining bathrooms are fairly nice for a public park.September 07, 2016
